Sport Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Sideline Sport Psychology provides specialized mental health and performance services for athletes and high performers. Our mission is to bridge the gap between sport performance and mental wellness by offering comprehensive, accessible, and evidence-based care.

We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with experience working with athletes to join our practice as an independent 1099 contractor
. This role involves conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief therapeutic interventions tailored to athletes and sport-focused populations.

As a contractor, you will have the autonomy to manage your caseload while benefiting from referrals, billing support, and the infrastructure of an established sport psychology practice.

• Provide psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and medication management for athletes and other performance-driven clients.
• Deliver brief supportive therapy and evidence-based psychiatric interventions.
• Collaborate with sport psychologists, therapists, and performance consultants to ensure integrated athlete care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with insurance and regulatory standards.
• Participate in consultations and team-based care planning for athletes.

• Master’s (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization.
• Active Utah PMHNP license in good standing with prescriptive authority and DEA license.
• Demonstrated experience working with athletes or high-performance populations.
• Strong understanding of the unique psychological and psychiatric needs within competitive sport environments.
• Ability to work independently as a contractor while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.

• Hourly rate: $85–$95/hour
