40 hours per week;
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Opportunities for a possible compressed 4-day, 10-hour schedule may be available after completing initial training periods, depending on operational needs and supervisor approval.

hours may extend to accomplish the work required that particular day.
The University of Utah Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition has an opening for a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary GI care and treatment for pediatric patients with general gastrointestinal disorders. Clinical activities are primarily at Primary Children’s Hospital Outpatient Services Center in Salt Lake City, with potential clinics at other campus locations. Clinics may include a mix of face-to-face and virtual visits.
The provider will have between 6 and 7 half-day clinics per week and will take first call on the Pediatric GI inpatient service for approximately 6–12 weeks per year (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm).
Required:
Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah and national certification as a Nurse Practitioner as required by state law.
Preferred:
Certification in ACLS / BLS / NRP / ATLS may be required by your department or privileging criteria;
Utah state prescriptive privileges; licensure obtained by completing a Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalency and a National Certification after passing a nationally accredited examination; UHPPM 1-56 requires credentialing and privileging at time of hire; immunization per CDC standards and hospital policy (limited exemptions may be made for medical contraindications or religious beliefs).

Preferences- Previous experience in pediatrics strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in pediatric gastroenterology and/or nutrition preferred.
- Previous experience in outpatient family practice or pediatric clinic preferred.
