Job SummaryThe Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work on our team with an emphasis in general cardiology. The job is an outpatient clinic-focused role, primarily based at our Redstone community clinic in Park City, UT. The position will involve both independent work and close collaboration with physician partners and other advanced practice clinicians.

Qualifications- Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah.
- Assess the physical condition of patients by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories.
- Formulate the medical plan and prognosis based on the patient’s condition.
- Collaborate with health care teams regarding patient care plans and treatment.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
- Initiate and/or recommend medical drug therapies or other forms of related treatment and procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policy.
- Comply with medical records policies regarding the complete and accurate documentation of patient care. Initiate and maintain required records and legal documents.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Counsel patients, families, and significant others about health and illness, and promote health maintenance.
- Evaluate, plan, implement, and re-evaluate the care of individuals requiring emergency measures.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
- Demonstrate clinical competence and in-depth knowledge of the specialty area.
- Demonstrate leadership, teaching, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.
- Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah.
- Certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria.
- Utah State prescriptive privileges.
- Licensure obtained by completing a Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalency (the only equivalency is current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner) and a National Certification which requires the successful completion of a nationally accredited examination.
- UHPPM 1-56 requires that newly hired non-physician providers apply for credentialing and privileging at the time of hire.
- This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
