Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Endoscopy Technician who will provide direct patient care and observation in an ambulatory setting while acting as a preceptor for all other Endoscopy Technicians. The role involves assisting with the care of patients undergoing Endoscopy procedures.
Responsibilities- Assist with Endoscopy Scheduling
- Demonstrate knowledge related to the maintenance, cleanliness, and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Maintain a sanitary environment for the provision of patient care
- Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure the availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies
- Assist the physician with interventions as indicated
- Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case
- Demonstrate appropriate aseptic techniques
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- 2 years’ experience in an acute setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- Current license information listed on application
- Endoscopy Reprocessing Certification
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)

Mountain West Endoscopy is located at the base of Cottonwood Canyon with beautiful mountain views. The center serves the residents of Salt Lake County and surrounding communities and performs over 200 cases a month. Services offered are elective, diagnostic endoscopies. The center is AAAHC accredited.
