Job Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process through technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.
We are a Level IV NICU and a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center ranked among the best children’s hospitals in the United States, providing specialized care for more than 1 million children in a 400 000-square‑mile service area and beyond.
Two hundred medical specialties care for nearly 500 babies each year in our new 51‑bed private‑room unit. More than 65% of our babies are unique to our NICU – meaning the care cannot be provided elsewhere in Utah or many surrounding states. We offer advanced education in Cardiac, Respiratory, Surgical, Neurological, and VLBW/ECMO care, with many opportunities for advancement and learning.
The NICU follows the PCH mission “The Child First and Always”, placing the safety and healing of our NICU babies at the center of everything we do. We foster a culture of collaboration, clinical excellence, psychological safety, and teamwork, believing in caring for each other as we care for our patients.
