What You Will Do
  • May have direct patient care duties.
  • Help establish and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for the assigned clinical areas.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical plans.
  • Select, train or orient, and supervise departmental personnel; responsible for work assignment and daily operations.
  • Evaluate performance and recommend merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions.
  • Resolve problems in clinical areas and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and control clinical expenditures to remain within budget.
  • Serve as liaison between clinic and external agencies.
  • Work with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with health care trends and practices.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or hold a degree or diploma from an accredited school of practical or vocation nursing.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office, acute care or clinical outpatient setting; previous supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Certification/Licensing:
    Current and active Medical Assistant certification (acceptable certifications include RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/A ‑OE credentials) or an active LPN or LVN license is required. CPR certification required.
