Job Summary
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks a motivated Nurse Practitioner to work with a focus on general cardiology in an outpatient clinic at Stansbury Community Clinic. The role requires independent practice and collaboration with physician partners and advanced practice clinicians.

Stansbury Community Clinic, Salt Lake City, UT. Department:
Cardiology.
Full‑time, Day shift, 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Assess the physical condition of patients through physical examinations and medical histories.
- Formulate medical plans and prognoses based on patients’ conditions.
- Collaborate with health care teams regarding patient care plans and treatment.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess clinical problems and healthcare needs.
- Initiate and/or recommend medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments and procedures in accordance with approved protocols and policies.
- Comply with medical record policies regarding complete and accurate documentation of patient care; initiate and maintain required records and legal documents.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Counsel patients, families, and significant others about health and illness, promoting health maintenance.
- Evaluate, plan, implement, and re‑evaluate the care of individuals requiring emergency measures.

ExpectationsAbility to perform the essential functions of the role as outlined above; clinical competence and in‑depth knowledge of the cardiac specialty; leadership, teaching, research, and communication skills; ability to provide appropriate care to the population served.
Minimum QualificationsLicensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah; completion of a Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent, and a national certification for Nurse Practitioner.
Preferred Qualifications- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, or ATLS as required by the department.
- Utah State prescriptive privileges.
- Experience applying for credentialing and privileging upon hire.
