PS Research Nurse Job Summary
Assists in facilitating the conduct of clinical research by performing research and clinical duties. Provides patient care within the scope of nursing practice and in compliance with guidelines set by governing agencies. Serve as the clinicalchampion for a critical care study, ensuring that the research protocol is seamlessly integrated into daily patient care while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and scientific integrity. Work closely with providers,ICU nurses, advanced practice providers, research staff, and study sponsors to coordinate complex clinical trial(s) involvingcritically ill patients.

Nearly Continuously:
Daily presence in the ICU and close collaboration with clinical teams caring for critically ill patients. Office environment.
Often:
Infectious disease; oils (including air or skin exposure tooils or other cutting fluids); hazards (including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts,moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding andhigh places, or exposure to chemicals).
Nearly continuously:
Hearing, listening, talking.
Often:
Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking, standing,sitting.
Seldom:
Bending, reaching overhead.
The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge andskills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of lifespan growth and development andthe ability to assess patient status data and provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual.

RN license in the state of Utah plus two years related experience required. Depending on area of assignment, CCRP, ACRP-CRC,SOCRA-CCRP certification may be required. Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQIsystem. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire. .Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skillsalso required.
