Description:
Facility has a total of 34 beds on the unit. There are approximately 60 staff members. The night shift consists of 1 charge RN, 6 RNs, and 3 techs. Patient ratios are 1:6. Equipment includes a bladder scanner, vital signs monitor, vein finder, and EMR. On call requirements are twice per contract. Weekend requirements consist of 4 weekend shifts per schedule, occurring every other week.
Typical skill set includes Foley insertion and central line dressing changes. The ideal candidate should be flexible and organized. Floating is required to all Med-surg units in-house. Dress code includes Caribbean blue scrubs. This is a mixed med-surg unit with weekend and on-call responsibilities.
