This Quality Control Technician role in Salt Lake City, Utah pays $22.00 - $29.00 per hour and puts you at the center of a manufacturing operation that produces architectural products found on projects like Disney's Star Wars:
Galaxy's Edge and the Conception Chile LDS Temple. You'll work Monday through Friday on a consistent day shift, inspecting and documenting quality across every stage of production — from raw materials to finished product. If you have a sharp eye for detail and experience reading blueprints, this is a role where your precision directly shapes the final product on landmark commercial buildings worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Inspect materials, components, and finished products at every stage — pre-production, active manufacturing, and post-production
- Perform spot checks on the production floor and conduct structured product testing
- Read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints to verify product conformance
- Use tape measures (metric and imperial) and speed squares to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Identify color inconsistencies, surface deformities, and nonconformances with a trained eye
- Document inspection findings and complete data entry using a wireless tablet and office workstation
- Communicate quality issues clearly and promptly to production floor technicians
- Maintain your work area in compliance with 6S standards before end of shift
What You Bring
Required
- Experience reading architectural drawings or blueprints
- Expert-level use of a tape measure (metric and imperial) and speed square
- Ability to work independently on the production floor and transition to data entry without close supervision
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift and lift 30-50 lbs.
Preferred
- Prior quality control or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with GFRC, GFRG, fiberglass, or other architectural composite materials
- Experience using a tablet or digital system for inspection documentation

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay & Compensation
$22.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on experience
