Work Schedule:

Flexible Monday – Friday, occasional weekends. 40 hours per week. This is an on-site position at EEJMRB in the Health Sciences Center.

Responsibilities
  • Performs technical procedures under supervision by applying standard scientific techniques and analytical principles.
  • Supervises the care of research mice; collect animal tissues and specimens for laboratory analysis. Performs dissections and minor animal surgery.
  • Assists senior laboratory personnel with carrying out experimental procedures and recommend modifications as needed.
  • Performs specialized tests and procedures using complex equipment.
  • Procures/orders supplies and materials needed to conduct research
  • Makes statistical calculations, analyzes data, and prepares reports summarizing results.
  • Conducts literature reviews to obtain abstracts and information to be utilized in research.

Minimum Qualifications
Equivalency Statement: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
