The Chen Wang Research Group is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and ambitious Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead aproject at the intersection of additive manufacturing, polymerchemistry, and materials science. The successful candidate willlead the optimization of this printing platform, characterize the fundamental reaction kinetics, and validate its translation intohigh-impact energy and medical applications. Candidates preferablyhold a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, backed bya strong track record of first-author publications.
This role requires hands-on expertise in vat photopolymerization 3D printing(SLA/DLP), custom resin formulation, and nanoscale characterization techniques like SEM. A deep understanding of polymerchemistry—specifically photopolymerization kinetics,polymerization-induced phase separation (PIPS), or dynamic covalentchemistry is essential. Ideally, the preferred candidate will alsobring experience in 3D printer customization, software/hardware integration, and CAD modeling skills.
