The Hilton Salt Lake City Center is looking for their next Part-Time Banquet Cook II to join their banquet team. Join the culinary team at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center, a vibrant, upscale hotel located in the heart of downtown and steps from the Salt Palace Convention Center. Surrounded by exceptional dining and entertainment, our property features award‑winning on‑site restaurants and expansive event spaces that host everything from elegant banquets to high‑profile conferences.
You’ll be part of a passionate, service‑driven culinary operation known for quality, creativity, and unforgettable hospitality!
Part‑Time
• Shift Pattern: AM with the flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Follow BEOs to ensure accurate menu execution for all functions
- Assist with food preparation for large‑volume events while adhering to timelines
- Set up and break down banquet kitchen stations before and after service
- Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Demonstrate proper knife skills
- Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
- Follow a production sheet with minimal guidance
- Have a strong understanding of mother sauces
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Minimum of two years of kitchen experience, preferably in hotel banquet environments
- Adaptable, thrive in fast‑paced settings, and able to work multiple stations with confidence and consistency
- Flexible schedule essential, as banquet operations require availability across mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a genuine passion for creating exceptional guest experiences through quality food and reliable execution
