Aboutthe Role
You will be supporting critical minerals movement, necessary to build the U.S. Economy and the journey towards a sustainable future. We are looking for a service-minded individual with a passion for rail and crawler mounted machines who understand how bulk material moves.
The NEPEAN group of companies are expanding in North America and want you to be part of that growth, both professionally and personally. This Sales Management individual position is responsible for driving the sales of our aftermarket as well as new projects within the USA. The position reports directly to the General Manager of Alpine Bulk Materials Handling North American region.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers with a focus on being a partner through the asset’s lifecycle.
- Maintain account plans for our accounts, customer contacts, site visit reports and asset audit records.
- Arrange calls and meet with customers to understand their bulk material movement and equipment needs.
- Promote and sell our aftermarket parts and wear parts.
- Lead new capital sales and end-of-life replacement sales opportunities.
- Support asset life extension through audits, refurbishments & modernizations.
- Act as long-term partner to the key sites facilitating their asset operational efficiency from supply chain planning, operator training and operator assistance, Asset safety and integrity, shutdown planning and technical support.
- Develop and implement sales activities to penetrate and grow the ALPINE US bulk materials market
- Provide technical assistance and material handling expertise
- Collaborate with internal technical support and engineering to solve customer problems and draft proposals.
- Actively build a funnel of pipeline opportunities and maintain them in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and 5+ years of experience in the bulk material handling industry, preferably on mobile machines.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and parts list.
- Direct Sales and sales training.
- The territory covers the whole of the US with an initial focus on Eastern USA ports and stockyards for Potash, Coal, Iron Ore and Bauxite.
- Genuine curiosity and face-to-face contact, 50% to 60% of time should be spent at customer ports or stockyards.
- Direct engagement, contacts and knowledge of these markets within the US is preferred. Must be a self-starter and problem-solver who keeps the customers’ best interests at heart.
