What the job is, day to dayHere's exactly what you'll be doing, so there are no surprises:
- Work in-store events. Set up and run a Biltright table or display inside your assigned Home Depot and Lowe's stores, usually in or near the garden and flooring departments.
- Approach shoppers. Greet customers walking by, start conversations about their yard, and introduce Biltright turf. This is proactive work: you go to them.
- Qualify the lead. Confirm they're the homeowner, learn about their project, yard size, and timeline, and make sure the decision makers can be there for the appointment.
- Book the appointment. Schedule a free in-home design consultation with one of our field sales reps, directly on our calendar, while the customer is in front of you.
- Enter every lead in our CRM. Accurate names, phone numbers, addresses, and notes, entered the same day.
- Confirm your appointments. Reach out before each appointment to confirm the time and that everyone will be home. Confirmed appointments sell, and sold appointments are how you get paid.
- Take care of your dealers. Build relationships with store managers and department associates so they send turf customers your way. Keep displays stocked with fresh brochures and samples, and follow each store's vendor rules.
- Track your numbers. Conversations, appointments set, appointments confirmed, and appointments sold. You'll see your results every week.
Here's the best part: you never have to close a deal. You book the appointment, and one of our experienced field sales pros takes it from there. They handle the in-home design, the pricing, and the close, and when it sells,
you get paid on the full project
. You get to focus on what you do best, meeting people and booking appointments, while a proven closer works to turn every one into a paycheck for you.
You'll be assigned a territory of Home Depot and Lowe's stores and plan your in-store days around them. Store traffic peaks on weekends and during spring and summer, so weekend availability is a must
, and the busiest days are the best-paying days. Your schedule is flexible beyond that, and you'll drive between stores, with mileage reimbursed.
This is a commission-only position. There is no hourly wage or base salary. You earn 5% of the total project on every appointment you generate that sells. Appointments that don't sell do not pay, which is why booking quality, confirmed appointments matters.
