** Salt Lake City, UT** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a patrol unarmed Security Officer in a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist guests and tenants with clear communication and a customer-first approach while documenting activity using a computer or tablet.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail mall environment.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior perimeter, and parking areas, observing for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious conditions and reporting findings per post orders.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and/or suspected theft, and coordinate with mall management and public responders as needed.

+ Monitor access points and public areas, assisting with crowd direction, closing and opening routines, and/or alarm response while helping to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and/or witness statements, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and client representatives in a timely manner.

* + A guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
