Senior Program Manager - Physical Security (CPP, PSP, or PMP preferred)

Torus is headquartered in Utah and is expanding manufacturing at our 545,000-square-foot facility in Salt Lake City called Giga One.
We are
the world’s first mesh energy infrastructure, uniting communities through resilient, sustainable, and intelligent power.

Torus has raised over $267 million from investors like Magnetar, Mercado, ICONIQ and Origin Ventures. The investments are helping to accelerate deployment of modular power plants across utilities, data centers, and industrial sectors. This investor confidence reflects the strength of our team, technology as well as the scale of the problem we are solving.

At Torus, you will be part of something larger than a single product or technology. Your work will help build energy infrastructure that supports and strengthens our electrical grid, critical systems, industry, and communities for decades to come. We value accountability, collaboration, and clear thinking. We are looking for people who want to solve hard problems and build things that matter.

About the Role

The Senior Program Manager, Physical Security will own and evolve the physical security program protecting Torus System sites and critical infrastructure. You will serve as the recognized physical security expert within Torus’ product line, building governance frameworks, responsible for owning and managing guard force programs, and ensuring Torus System sites are secure to the highest standard for critical infrastructure.

This role sits at the intersection of strategic program ownership and hands-on execution. You'll partner closely with Install Teams, Contracting, IT/Security, Legal Facilities, and site leadership to protect critical infrastructure while balancing regulatory compliance (including NERC CIP physical security requirements relevant to grid-connected energy systems) with the pace of a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Shape Physical Security Strategy — Develop, drive, and continuously refine physical security strategy across all Torus sites, ensuring consistent standards, layered controls, and alignment with business growth.
  • Develop Policies & Governance — Lead creation and continuous improvement of physical security policies for Torus sites, SOPs, post orders, and access control governance. Ensure policies are documented, communicated, enforced, and reviewed as threats and the business evolve.
  • Support Critical Infrastructure Compliance — Partner with teams across the business and third parties to ensure physical controls appropriately protect sensitive manufacturing IP and satisfy applicable regulatory frameworks, including NERC CIP-014 physical security requirements for grid-connected assets.
  • Conduct Physical Security Vulnerability Assessments (PSVAs) — Plan, execute, and review PSVAs across sites to identify risks, evaluate existing controls, and recommend mitigations. Translate findings into remediation plans and capital investment proposals, tracking closure to completion.
  • Manage Guard Force & Vendor Operations — Own contract guard force programs, including MSAs, SOWs, KPIs, and SLAs. Ensure vendor performance, post coverage, training standards, and cost effectiveness across all sites.
  • Own Budgeting & Financial Management — Build and manage OpEx/Cap Ex budgets for the physical security program. Develop business cases and ROI analyses for security investments (access control, cameras, sensors, barriers), manage POs and vendor invoicing, and track actuals against forecast.
  • Establish KPIs, SLAs & Metrics — Build and maintain a performance measurement framework for physical security, including dashboards and reporting cadences that drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Own Access Control & Credentialing — Administer badge/access control systems, role-based access models, visitor management, and credentialing across manufacturing floors, labs, and corporate space.
  • Integrate with Security Operations — Partner with teams across the business and third parties to ensure the security architecture is monitored and appropriately consumed (cameras, tamper sensors, access events) into…
