Job Description
Are you a Licensed Plumber looking for job stability, great benefits, and paid time off? If so, we have the job for you! The Utah National Guard is seeking an experienced Licensed Journey Plumber with a strong work ethic and can do attitude. You do not need to be a member of the National Guard to apply for this position.
Principal Duties
As a Licensed Journey Plumber, you will:
- perform journey-level plumbing duties under general supervision.
- maintain or repair plumbing by replacing or mending broken pipes, opening clogged drains, pipe assemblies or installation of plumbing systems or components.
The ideal candidate for this position:
- must be licensed as a Journeyman or Master Plumber.
- has commercial plumbing experience.
- has knowledge of record keeping, ability to read blueprints building codes, use measuring instruments, knows how to cut, thread or bend pipe to required angle, how to operate and use hand and power tools or machines.
- has 4 plus years of work and school.
- has experience with all or some the following:
- plumbing install and maintenance, domestic, water, sanitary, sewers, storm drain systems, fixture repair, replacement and drain cleaning.
- boiler repair and replacement, boiler control repair and replacement.
- water condition equipment installs and repairs.
- fire suppression and fire hydrant replace and repair.
- sewer pre-treatment equipment.

Health Insurance - Public Employee Health Program (PEHP):
- 3 medical plan options. Choose a Traditional or High Deductible Health Plan. There is an Opt-Out Cash Benefit option for those who have other medical insurance coverage.
- 5 dental plan options, with an Opt-Out Cash Benefit option for those that have other dental insurance coverage.

- Employees who have any service credit with an employer covered by the Utah Retirement Systems prior to 7/1/2011 are in the Tier I Public Employees System.
