Field Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the Salt Lake City area. This position is ideal for a highly skilled technician with strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting experience who enjoys working independently in the field.

As a Field Service Technician, you will provide service, diagnostics, repairs, testing, and demonstrations on heavy industrial equipment to minimize downtime and maximize customer productivity. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex equipment issues, performing repairs, installing replacement parts, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy industrial construction equipment
• Perform field service calls at customer job sites
• Inspect, test, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Install, replace, and adjust equipment components as needed
• Conduct equipment demonstrations and operational testing
• Document service activities and provide detailed service reports
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair recommendations and equipment performance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience servicing heavy industrial construction equipment
• Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting aptitude
• Experience working with pneumatic systems
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on heavy drilling equipment
• Technical School or Trade School Certificate
• Equivalent combination of education and 2-5 years of relevant technical experience
• OEM dealership or manufacturer service experience
