If you are looking for an exciting opportunity in Technology to work as a lead developer on the latest technologies and solve complex problems in the world of finance at one of the leading investment banks in the world, we have one for you in Private Wealth Management (PWM) technology at Goldman Sachs.

The PWM Portfolio Accounting & Tax team within PWM Technology is responsible for client portfolio accounting (tax lot and gain and loss calculations) and generation of Tax Packages globally for PWM clients. The team is in the middle of an exciting phase to scale and automate our existing global tax platforms to create a next generation platform on the cloud for providing platinum quality services to our clients.

As a part of the team, you would be working with a team of engineers to incrementally rearchitect the platforms with newer cloud-based solutions to provide a high quality tax reporting solution for PWM clients globally. The role would require you to have a solid understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS), JAVA applications, RESTful APIs, Kafka, Spring Boot applications & Big Data systems.

You would be responsible for working on all phases of the development cycle from design to final production roll-out and post production support where applicable.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the various stakeholders, including architects and business sponsors to develop solutions for the PWM Portfolio Accounting and Tax platform. The contributions you make in your projects, through your innovation, engineering skills and software expertise will make a direct and immediate impact on improving the client experience for PWM clients.

• Act as hands on developer to build and ship new features
• Influence the evolution of the platform architecture

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Java & J2EE frameworks.
• Experience with producing scalable software designs.
• Experience in Spring, REST services, JMS, Hibernate/JPA, JSON is required.
• Experience working with SQL-based databases like Sybase or No
  
  SQL like Mongo
  
  DB. (Mongo experience preferred)
• Experience in writing automated tests is required.
• Experience with designing/delivering messaging-based solutions (e.g. Kafka)
• Strong sense of ownership, focus on quality, responsiveness, efficiency, and innovation
• Experience in working with CI/CD, GIT, Jira methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AWS technologies is required.
• Experience working on UX Technologies
• Experience with Hadoop/Big data/Apache Spark
• Any experience with Advent Geneva RSL
• Experience in Financial Services/Industry
