We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team working with cloud giants like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google to optimize Ubuntu for their infrastructure. The team builds, tests, and publishes Ubuntu images used by millions, focusing on performance and security. The goal is to deliver top-tier cloud VM experiences and specialized images for various purposes, ensuring differentiation and a consistent user experience.

The role requires a blend of technical expertise and management skills. You will lead your team, engage with partners, and ensure the stability and functionality of Ubuntu images. Automating delivery pipelines for diverse workloads, from web servers to AI, is key.

Your primary responsibility is to support your team’s growth, foster a positive engineering culture, and influence technical strategy. Fluency in Python and Golang, code reviews, architectural leadership, and adherence to good engineering practices are essential. You will also manage expectations across teams and stakeholders.
