Who We’re Looking For

Our client is seeking an experienced Mid-to-Senior level Software Engineer to work as a key team member developing highly transactional, Cloud-based microservices and solutions, with a focus on tokenization and encryption. The ideal candidate will possess a solid knowledge of .NET Core, cloud-based microservices development within AWS. This is a great position for a highly motivated self-starter that excels in fast paced environments, enjoys an agile environment, and brings a collaborative, team-oriented approach to software development!

This is a hybrid contract to hire position. C2C is NOT supported.

Must be located in OKC, ATL, Salt Lake City, or Chattanooga. Candidates outside of these locations will be disqualified.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain highly transactional cloud‑based microservices with a focus on tokenization, encryption, and secure data processing.
  • Build and enhance backend services using .NET Core, adhering to best practices and clean coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, product, and QA to deliver scalable, reliable software solutions in an agile environment.
  • Develop and optimize services within AWS, leveraging cloud-native tools, serverless technologies, and containerized architectures.
  • Implement and support SQL and No

    SQL database solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity.
  • Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and Git-based workflows for containerization, orchestration, and version control.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decision-making.
  • Ensure all solutions meet security, compliance, and industry standards, especially those tied to payments and financial services.
  • Support the team with ongoing enhancements, maintenance, and platform modernization.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 2 years of hands‑on programming in financial services, fintech, or a closely related industry.
  • Hands‑on cloud development experience, preferably building microservices in AWS.
  • Proficiency with SQL and No

    SQL databases.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong working knowledge of Git and modern CI/CD workflows.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and effectively troubleshoot complex systems.
  • FINTECH / payments platform experience is required (non‑negotiable).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
  • Experience in the Payments domain (tokenization, encryption, gateways, settlement, etc.).
  • Familiarity with C/C++.
  • Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD automation tools.
  • Exposure to legacy Web Forms environments.

Codeworks discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $50 and $60. This range is subject to change based on job‑related factors, including client requirements where applicable. All full time Codeworks employees are eligible to enroll in the company’s benefits plan.
