Position: 2026 Junior Golf Summer Staff/Intern

UTAH SECTION OF THE PGA OF AMERICA is based in Riverton, Utah, and plays a prominent role in promoting the game of golf throughout the region and supporting our PGA Members. Focused on fostering growth and supporting golf professionals, the organization organizes events, tournaments, and educational programs. The Utah Section serves as a vital resource for golf enthusiasts and professionals, creating opportunities for development within the golf industry.

Their commitment to the sport extends into community engagement and growing participation at all levels.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located at different golf courses across the state of Utah, for a Junior Golf Summer Staff/Intern. Responsibilities include assisting with tournament setup, execution, and takedown, engaging with participants to provide excellent customer service, managing on course play, and supporting the organization of junior golf events. Other tasks may include managing event registration, on course monitoring, and assisting with event scoring, as well as other duties that contribute to the success of the summer programs.

Events include:
Drive, Chip and Putt, PGA Junior League, High School Golf Championships and Utah PGA Junior Series events.

Qualifications
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with participants, families, and team members
  • General knowledge and experience in Golf and the Rules of Golf.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in the summer months.
  • Enthusiasm for working with youth and ability to adapt in a fast-paced event environment
  • Availability to work potentially early or extended hours to support event schedules
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Previous work in the golf industry preferred, but not required.
