Overview

The Customer Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating customer orders, back up for shipment scheduling, and logistics activities to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of products. This role serves as a primary point of contact between customers, internal teams, and transportation partners to support order fulfillment, resolve delivery issues, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

The Customer Logistics Coordinator works closely with sales, production, warehouse, and transportation teams to manage order flow, monitor shipments, and address exceptions while maintaining accurate documentation and system updates.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate customer orders from order entry through shipment and delivery
  • Serve as backup and support logistics schedule and arrange inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and logistics providers
  • Serve as a primary contact for customers regarding order status, shipping timelines, and delivery coordination
  • Monitor shipments and proactively address delays, shortages, or delivery issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams including sales, production, warehouse, and finance to support accurate order fulfillment
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery confirmations
  • Enter, update, and maintain order and shipment data in ERP and logistics systems
  • Resolve freight claims, discrepancies, and customer inquiries related to shipping and delivery
  • Support inventory coordination and order prioritization as needed
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Product Safety and Quality
  • Responsible for supporting and complying with the company’s Integrated Management System, which aligns with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) standards.
  • Promotes a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility by following established IMS procedures aligned with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or related coursework preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in logistics, customer service, order management, or supply chain coordination
  • Experience working with carriers, freight providers, or third-party logistics partners
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience working in ERP systems;
    Infor experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • May be required to enter warehouse or dock areas
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as required.
  • Must have unrestricted visual and auditory capabilities to maintain a safe work
  • environment.
  • Work performed primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing setting with occasional exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Safety Requirements
  • Comply with all OSHA, and company safety policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
  • Attend scheduled safety training.
  • Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed safety goals and plans.
  • Recommend improved safety practices.
  • Practices safe work habits and follows general safety procedures such as proper lifting and bending, ergonomics, proper use of equipment and use of personal protection equipment (PPE).
  • Adheres to and ensures lockout procedures are followed any time the equipment is being cleaned or maintained.
