Job SummaryWe are seeking safety‑conscious, Class A Linehaul Drivers. This position requires transferring freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hooking and unhooking commercial trailers, and completing all paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures. Our Linehaul Drivers are home daily with weekends off, allowing them to enjoy a healthy work‑life balance.
Pay$0.80 per mile (doubles).
RouteMonday – Friday, start time 9pm. Routes:
North Salt Lake, UT to Dubois, North Salt Lake, UT (532mi);
North Salt Lake, UT to Wamsutter, WY to North Salt Lake, UT (414mi).
Job Duties
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
- Hook up and haul trailers between customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
- Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
- Operate tractor‑trailer combination for extended periods of time over long distances
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years of age
- 1 year of commercial driving experience
- No DUI’s or DWI’s in the past 3 years
- No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain them; renewals reimbursable
- Doubles endorsement
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment skills assessment
Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle; carry freight weighing up to 40lbs for a distance of up to 20ft; hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations; manually lower and raise landing gear; operate fifth‑wheel release levers; lock and release pintle‑hooks; attach and release safety chains; open and close cargo doors; climb into and out of vehicles;
and fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
