Local Cdl Driver

ASAP Freight is seeking a reliable and experienced local (Nephi to Logan based out of Salt Lake) CDL tractor with 53' dry van driver to join our team.

Safely operate a tractor and 53' dry van trailer to transport goods and materials to designated locations.

Follow dispatched delivery routes efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain schedules.

Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.

Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor.

Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.

Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions professionally.

Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., checking tire pressure, fluid levels).

Valid CDL with at least 2 years experience with tractor trailer and a clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3 years). MVR check will be done prior to hire.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo.

Strong knowledge of local roads and ability to use GPS navigation systems effectively.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Must pass a criminal background check.

Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards.

Must have or be in good enough health to obtain a DOT medical card (paid for by ASAP) if not already acquired.
