As a Route Driver at Stone Ground Bakery, you play a vital role in our operations by delivering our freshly baked goods to our customers in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. You are responsible for representing our company to our customers, ensuring that deliveries are made accurately and professionally while upholding the highest standards of food safety and customer service.

• Delivery Operations:
  Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport baked goods from our bakery to our customers’ locations.
• Route Navigation:
  Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules, utilizing GPS systems and maps as needed to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Product Handling:
  Safely load and unload baked goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring that products are handled with care to prevent damage.
• Customer Service:
  Provide friendly, professional service to our customers, assisting with unloading deliveries and addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
• Product Verification:
  Verify the accuracy of delivered products against customer orders, ensuring that all items are accounted for and in good condition.
• Food Safety:
  Adhere to food safety protocols during product handling and delivery, including maintaining proper temperature controls and sanitation practices.
• Vehicle Maintenance:
  Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the route supervisor.
• Record Keeping:
  Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle inspection reports, submitting required paperwork to the route supervisor in a timely manner.
• Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures while operating delivery vehicles.
• Communication:
  Communicate effectively with route supervisor, customer service representatives, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or concerns.
• Teamwork:
  Collaborate with route supervisor and other team members to optimize delivery routes, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency.
• Professionalism:
  Represent Stone Ground Bakery in a positive and professional manner at all times, fostering goodwill with our customers and the community.
• Other Duties:
  Perform other duties as assigned by the route supervisor or management.

Basic Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in delivery driving or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with local roads and delivery routes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Capacity to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Capacity to work in various weather conditions and environments.

Training in safe driving practices, product handling, food safety protocols, and company policies and procedures will be provided.
