Salary Range: $20.00 To $24.00 Hourly
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:30pm
Job SummaryThe Receiving Team Lead is ultimately responsible for the effective execution of receiving activities. Interfaces directly with Supply Chain and Manufacturing or Warehouse departments to ensure material receipts are aligned to meet schedule requirements. Responsible for the efficient and accurate receipt of materials. Acts as the liaison with contracted Transportation Management personnel to ensure the effective utilization of warehouse docks.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Warehouse Receiving Team
- Manage incoming shipment process to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely receipt of incoming materials
- Responsible for the incoming materials inspection process
- Directs team to confirm accuracies and identify damages to incoming materials
- Liaison to contracted Transportation Management vendor to efficiently schedule material deliveries
- Develop and maintain documentation and reports related to receiving activities, including goods received, discrepancies noted, and corrective actions taken, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct periodic inventory audits to verify inventory receipt accuracy
- Works with Logistics and Warehouse leadership team coordinating the storage and flow of materials to warehouse locations
- Liaison to Procurement Team for material purchase order discrepancies
- Coordinate the flow of materials to warehouse locations
- Assists with shipping of materials, completing required documentation and material preparation
- Train, motivate, and guide team members to achieve performance goals
- KPI’s – Measure, track and monitor all assigned Warehouse KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in the receiving area, conducting regular safety inspections and training staff on proper handling and storage techniques to minimize accidents and injuries
- A minimum of 2-5 years experience in a warehouse environment
- Leadership and Team building experience
- Able to lead, direct, and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Ability to manage effective work schedules
- Analytical mind with strong attention to detail skills
- Proficient in the operation of ERP programs to support the receipt of materials
- Inventory and Warehouse Management systems knowledge
- Proficient in MS Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and walk/stand for majority of shift.
- Adept and effective at record keeping
- Understand and abide by cGMP 21 CFR Part 111.
- Forklift certified (or able to attain certification)
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience sufficient to:
- Proficiently read, speak and write English to meet FDA requirements for record keeping and inventory and warehouse purposes.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations—add, subtract multiply, divide, percentages.
