Warehouse Associate, Material Handler, Distribution/ General Warehouse, Forklift Operator
The position of Warehouse Worker is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. Use of a forklift and/or order picker is required to process orders.
$22.11 – $25.73 per hour; Monday‑Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Obtain or pull material to fill pick tickets from the storage yard and warehouse, verify quantities and items against the invoice, and load merchandise into the company vehicle.
- Maintain assigned equipment in clean condition; perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance, and report defects or necessary repairs to the supervisor.
- Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Transport, gather, distribute, and stock material in a safe, efficient manner.
- Keep the warehouse organized and orderly at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned to keep the warehouse organized and orderly at all times.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- General knowledge of warehouse procedures and ability to operate material‑handling equipment safely.
- Effective communication with co‑workers to satisfy customer requirements.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Minimum age 18 years.
Read, write, and speak routine reports or job orders in English. Communicate effectively with customers or employees within the organization.
Mathematical SkillsPerform basic arithmetic—add, subtract, multiply, and divide—using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals in all units of measure.
Reasoning AbilityInterpret documents and instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form, and organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
Attendance DemandsAttendance is required Monday through Friday during normal business hours as established by the Warehouse Supervisor. Overtime may be required.
Physical DemandsRegularly use hands to grasp and lift; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally sit, climb, and balance. Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Visual abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment- Noise level is usually loud.
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures; work inside, outside, and on elevated balconies.
