Job Title:
Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Landmark Commerce Center, Suite 900)
Reports To: VP of Operations / Owner
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
Job Summary- The Warehouse Operations Manager owns the day‑to‑day performance of our Salt Lake City fulfillment center, overseeing all inbound and outbound activity, staffing, inventory accuracy, and facility operations. This role is responsible for hitting service‑level targets (on‑time pick/pack/ship, receiving turnaround, inventory accuracy) while managing a team of Warehouse Fulfillment Associates, controlling labor costs, and ensuring the facility runs safely and efficiently. This is a hands‑on leadership role — equal parts floor presence and operational planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily execution of pick/pack/ship, receiving, cycle counts, and retail/wholesale shipment prep to meet SLA and carrier cutoff times
- Monitor daily throughput, order accuracy, and on‑time shipping metrics; troubleshoot bottlenecks in real time
- Manage warehouse layout, pick paths, and slotting to optimize efficiency as SKU count and volume grow
- Coordinate with the Miami facility and corporate team on cross‑dock, inventory transfers, and load balancing between locations
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Warehouse Fulfillment Associates and any leads/shift supervisors
- Set daily/weekly productivity goals, run pre‑shift huddles, and manage performance feedback and coaching
- Build and manage labor schedules against forecasted order volume, including peak season staffing plans
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle count programs and reconciliation of discrepancies
- Own receiving accuracy — verifying PO/ASN matches, flagging shortages or damage, and processing claims
- Report daily/weekly KPIs (DOH, stockouts, fill rate, shipping accuracy, labor cost per order) to leadership
- Partner with S&OP/forecasting on inventory positioning and replenishment timing
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA‑compliant warehouse; manage equipment maintenance and safety programs
- Own facility‑related vendor relationships (equipment, supplies, building maintenance, security)
- Ensure compliance with retailer routing guides and shipping requirements for retail accounts
- Support permitting, buildout, and facility improvement projects as the location scales
- 5+ years of warehouse or 3PL operations experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Experience with WMS platforms, barcode scanning systems, and shipping/carrier software
- Strong understanding of inventory control, receiving processes, and pick/pack/ship workflows
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Comfortable working with data — reading KPI dashboards, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to make decisions independently under pressure
- Forklift certification
- Ability to be on the warehouse floor for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Warehouse environment with varying temperatures
