Role Description The Parts Clerk is a full-time, on-site role. This position is responsible for receiving, stocking, and issuing parts and supplies for equipment and vehicles, ensuring accurate inventory levels and timely availability. Day-to-day tasks include processing shipping and receiving documentation, organizing and labeling parts, maintaining inventory records in the system, and performing regular cycle counts. The Parts Clerk will assist internal customers and vendors at the parts counter, respond to inquiries, and support equipment maintenance teams by sourcing and ordering parts.
The role may also involve safe operation of material-handling equipment, including forklifts, and general housekeeping of the parts storage area.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Shipping & Receiving to accurately process incoming and outgoing parts, verify documentation, and coordinate deliveries.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Control to track stock levels, perform counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain organized storage systems.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to support internal team members, interact with vendors, and provide clear, timely information.
- Candidates should possess Forklift Operation skills or be willing to obtain certification to safely move and handle parts and materials.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include basic computer literacy (inventory or ERP systems), attention to detail, ability to lift and move materials as required, and prior experience in parts, warehouse, or construction-related environments.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; willingness to follow safety protocols and company procedures is required.
