Utility Operator

Position: Utility Operator 3
Join CRD Wastewater Services as a Utility Operator 3 focused on Water Distribution and Treatment on Salt Spring Island. This role involves routine maintenance, repair, and service of essential water systems.

In this position, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of water supply, treatment, and wastewater management systems in accordance with standard operating procedures. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of one year of relevant experience. If you possess EOCP certification, you are strongly encouraged to apply as it will enhance your candidacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair water distribution and treatment systems

• Ensure compliance with operational standards

• Service wastewater collection and treatment components

• Install and troubleshoot system components

• Collaborate with the team to optimize system performance

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of directly related experience

• High School Graduation required

• EOCP certification preferred

• Valid BC Driver's Licence necessary

• Willingness to relocate to Salt Spring Island
