Position: Utility Operator 3
Take on a critical role as a Utility Operator 3 with Capital Regional District, focusing on water distribution and wastewater systems on Salt Spring Island. Contribute your skills in maintenance, repair, and operational excellence in this physically demanding position.

In this vital position, you will be responsible for water distribution and wastewater collection maintenance. With a focus on routine tasks, you will ensure optimal performance of infrastructure operations while adhering to standard procedures. Critical skills include mechanical aptitude, equipment operation, and compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform construction and maintenance tasks in various conditions

• Operate and service water and wastewater system components

• Read and organize work from design drawings and blueprints

• Maintain documentation for the maintenance management system

• Provide training and guidance to less experienced operators

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year relevant experience

• High School graduation required

• Certification in water and wastewater operations preferred

• Valid BC Driver's Licence

• Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols
