The Forestry Partnership Specialist develops relationships and manages collaboration among forest concessions, government agencies, academia, and community representatives for multi‑business forestry . The role includes planning and supporting conservation programs within sustainable forest management in Bentala Kalimantan and other regions.

The Forestry Partnership Specialist leads the development and implementation of multi‑business forestry strategies at concession and landscape levels. The role involves identifying potential non‑timber commodities and ecosystem services, fostering collaboration among forest concessions, government agencies, academia, and communities, and translating strategies into effective field implementation.
The Specialist also supports the creation of community–concession business partnerships, facilitates regular stakeholder dialogues, maintains documentation of agreements and processes, and strengthens inclusive governance for sustainable forest resource utilization. This position requires close coordination with YKAN’s Community Development and Policy teams to ensure equitable and meaningful partnerships.
This position is based in Samarinda, with travel to villages, concessions in Bentala Kalimantan, and other cities.

What You’ll Bring :- BA/BS degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in community‑based commodity business practice or equivalent combination of educations and experience with land‑based businesses and community empowerment.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements.
- Experience communicating with the public and/or media both in writing and verbally.
- Good communication and understanding skills via written, spoken, and graphical means in English.
- Experience with principles of human right approach.
