Pierce county based company seeks senior accountant to join their team.
- Assists in the preparation of financial statements
- Reviews and approves Staff Accountant work;
Will have complete ownership of assigned technical, high-level areas of accounting - Responsible for G/L account reconciliations and related analysis
- Performs monthly/quarterly close processes to include investigative analysis of monthly/quarterly results
- Works with external auditors related to assigned areas of quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Works with internal and external auditors related to compliance with internal controls
- Works with related departments on accounting matters
- Develops, maintains and ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Performs special projects related to implementing new GAAP, systems and processes
- CPA or CMA highly preferred.
