K-12 STEAM Instructor

iCode offers engaging STEAM education to kids K-12, providing hands‑on learning experiences with the latest technology, including VEX robotics, drones, Apple computers, 3D printers, and Raspberry Pis. We offer industry‑standard courses such as Python and Java, along with specific topics like Minecraft Modding, Lua in Roblox, and digital artistry. Our small‑group learning environments in our hubs encourage the development of both technical and soft skills.

This is an on‑site role for a K-12 STEAM Instructor located in Sammamish, WA. The STEAM Instructor will be responsible for leading and facilitating engaging classes focusing on subjects such as robotics, game design, computer programming, and digital arts. Day‑to‑day tasks include preparing lesson plans, conducting classes, evaluating student progress, and fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. The instructor will also be responsible for maintaining the classroom tech and ensuring the safety and well‑being of all students.

• Experience in Robotics, Game Design (Unreal Engine 5, Unity), Computer Programming, Digital Arts, Minecraft & Roblox programming (other related fields)
• Strong skills in facilitating and teaching small‑group classes
• Ability to engage in self directed learning using the provided curriculum
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Python, Java, HTML & CSS, and other programming languages
• Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage classroom technology
• Experience with educational technology tools is a plus
• Motivated by STEM-related challenges and learning opportunities
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
