We are partnering with our home services and construction client in Sammamish, WA to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for consulting with customers to scope, measure and ultimately execute home design and construction projects. Your role will be supported by a sales support team who set these meetings in a strategic fashion, and generate consistent warm and hot leads, along with a talented design and construction team who work in-house.
You are the true closer in this cycle, responsible for consulting directly with already interested homeowners, taking detailed photos and measurements, and signing new business. There is NO cold calling in this position, and appointments are set with sales support for you, so you can focus on closing. Your role will be a 50/50 split between time in the field with homeowners and administrative contract work.
You will generate estimates, communicate with existing and potential customers to provide status updates, and maintain internal relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
To be a fit, you should bring 3+ years of sales, business development and account management experience in a relevant space, which might include
home services, construction, interior design, home products or similar
. You should have experience taking measurements and photographs, and should be mathematically inclined.
This team is in the process of major growth and evolution, and they provide an in-demand and highly regarded service to the larger Seattle area. This is a hybrid role with a significant amount of travel around the Puget Sound Region, with additional time split between home and the office. Earning opportunity in this role is uncapped, with base ranging from $80,000 to $85,000 annually and total OTE starting at $160,000+.

You will report directly to company management and will have a seat at the strategic table through this exciting period of growth! Because you will work directly with homeowners, some weekend hours may be necessary but will be balanced with weekday flexibility.
You will:
- Travel around the Puget Sound Region to visit customers, meeting with homeowners to scope projects, walk job sites, take detailed measurements and photos, and provide estimates.
- Maintain consistent communication in the sales cycle, closing business through follow up, consistency and company expertise.
- Partner with sales support to maintain consistent customer communication, understand initial job details and provide a seamless experience from initial inquiry to job completion.
- Communicate with design and build teams to provide job intel, accurate scope and measurements.
- Work with company leaders to provide customer feedback, market intel and similar.
Your experience should include:
- 3+ years of sales, business development, account management and/or similar experience with a track record of closing business.
- Experience in a relevant industry selling home services or home products; experience in the consumer or commercial side of these services is relevant.
- Experience taking measurements and photos, walking job sites and providing detailed notes, specs and similar for estimates and to enable design and construction staff.
- High level of organizational skill with comfort managing active estimates and the customer life cycle.
- Strong technical aptitude, including CRM and Excel experience.
