Job Description

This posting will remain open to generate a pool of qualified student applicants for available positions during the semester.

Managing and running the Ram Page website and social media accounts.

Subject to relevant job expectations (attached) that are complementary to the essential job duties listed below.

Essential job duties include:

* Serving as a liaison with the Ram Page editor and faculty adviser.

* Timely and regularly reviewing and posting content on the Ram Page website and social media accounts.

* Checking and correcting the content for accuracy, writing style, grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure and AP style.

* Managing and troubleshooting the Ram Page website backdoor. On the job training provided.

* Ensuring the Ram Page social media compliance with ASU branding and other relevant policies as well as with the best practices of social media content creation and engagement. On the job training provided.

* Tracking and maintaining a complete and accurate record of the Ram Page website and social media analytics.

* Proactively working on growing the Ram Page website traffic as well as social media following and engagement.

* Serving as a liaison with Ram Page audiences online.

* Having basic skillset to function as a photographer in case Ram Page photographer is not available. On the job training provided if necessary or requested.

* Being able to meet tight deadlines and accommodate short notices if necessary.

* Assisting Ram Page editor in various tasks commensurate with the employee's position, skillset and abilities.

* Attending and participating in all Ram Page staff meetings (with the exception for extenuating circumstances established on case-by-case basis).

* Being available for at least some department-initiated events that involve Ram Page (e.g., welcoming visitors from high schools touring the campus and introducing them to the Ram Page, etc.).

Required Qualifications

* Must be a currently enrolled student who is registered for classes.

* Appropriate writing (grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, concise and clear writing style) and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Solid knowledge of news writing and AP style.

* Experience in managing and running social media accounts.

Physical Demands

* Must be able to lift/carry up to approximately 5 lbs.

* Must be able to work indoors and outdoors and stand for 2-4 hrs. at a time if necessary.
