Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Taylor Robinson Music is looking for private music instructors who share our philosophy of "Learn to Play From the Heart" and are passionate about making music education accessible and affordable.

We do not have a brick-and‑mate studio in San Angelo, but we have a strong demand for instructors, especially for voice. Lessons may take place in students' homes, your own home or rehearsal space, or via webcam, but most students prefer in‑person lessons. We need local instructors who can host students or travel within the San Angelo area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide private music instruction to students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that align with student goals.
  • Maintain accurate lesson schedules, attendance records, and progress reports.
  • Communicate regularly with the office, ensuring timely lessons and updates.
  • Adhere to the company’s standards for teaching quality and student retention.
Qualifications
  • Prior teaching experience or formal music training (degree, enrollment in a music program, professional performance experience, or previous teaching experience). Formal music training is not mandatory but required qualifications must be met.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Organized, punctual, and able to manage a flexible schedule on an independent contractor basis.
  • Willingness to comply with local health and safety guidelines.
COVID-19 Precautions
  • Wear a mask during in‑person lessons.
  • Sanitize hands before and after each lesson.
  • Practice social distancing as required by local regulations.
