Instructor of Management​/Strategy

Job Summary

Angelo State University invites applications for a non‑tenure track faculty position in Management at the Instructor level. This full‑time, nine‑month position in the Department of Management and Marketing will start in Fall of 2026. Effective teaching, service, and commitment to the Department of Marketing and Management, the Norris‑Vincent College of Business, and Angelo State University are required. All candidates are expected to maintain a status of either a Scholarly Practitioner (SP) or Instructional Practitioner (IP) in accordance with the Norris‑Vincent College of Business Faculty Qualifications Guidelines.

The individual hired for this position will fully participate in the activities of the College, including recruitment, student advising, and service on committees. The primary teaching assignments will be in management‑related courses, including human resource management, organizational behavior, and strategic management.

• A deep knowledge of management and management theories.
• Dedication to excellence in teaching and willingness to offer courses in in‑person, online, and hybrid formats.
• Dedication to helping ASU students succeed, particularly first‑generation college students.

• Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or a related area. If the degree is in a related area, the candidate should have substantial work experience in management or scholarly publications in the management area.
• Scholarly Practitioner (SP) or Instructional Practitioner (IP) status at time of appointment.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Willingness to teach both traditional face‑to‑face and online delivery modes.

• Experience teaching at the college or university level.
• Private industry work experience.
• A Ph.D. in management or a closely related field.
