• Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and staff supervision
• Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards such as HIPAA, for patient privacy and safety
• Oversee medication compounding,, and non-sterile procedures to guarantee quality and safety
• Conduct patient assessments, medication reviews, and provide clinical pharmacy services tailored to diverse populations, including pediatrics and critically ill patients
• Lead efforts in immunizations administration, pain management protocols, and medical management strategies to enhance patient care
• Utilize pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR) for accurate documentation, medication tracking, and reporting
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing training on pharmacy workflows, inventory management, and medication administration procedures
• Maintain accurate inventory levels of medications and supplies while managing procurement processes efficiently
• Implement policies for medication safety practices such as proper medication storage, handling of hazardous drugs, and aseptic techniques
• Collaborate with healthcare providers on patient care plans, ensuring optimal medication therapy management in acute care settings

• Extensive knowledge of LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy practices and hospital-based pharmacy operations
• Critical care experience with familiarity in managing complex medication regimens in high-acuity environments
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program demonstrating advanced clinical training
• Proven clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on patient service and assessment skills
• Proficiency in pharmacy software systems including EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms
• Skilled in compounding medications safely using aseptic techniques for IV infusions and sterile preparations
• Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology principles relevant to diverse patient populations
• Experience administering immunizations and performing IV insertions with proper sterile technique
• Knowledge of inventory management practices to ensure medication availability while minimizing waste
• Ability to perform patient care activities such as medication administration oversight and pain management strategies
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring patient confidentiality at all times
• Hospital experience in acute care settings is highly desirable along with experience in medical management strategies
