Are you ready to make a difference in patient care using cutting-edge technology? At Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, we’re looking for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team! If you’re passionate about delivering precise and life-changing diagnostic imaging while providing compassionate care, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you’ll play an essential role in performing imaging procedures that help diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. Your expertise in nuclear medicine will directly impact patient outcomes, and your warm, caring approach will ensure a positive experience for every patient you encounter.
What you’ll do:
- Perform Nuclear Medicine Procedures: Administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality images of organs and tissues, assisting doctors with the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions.
- Ensure Patient Safety & Comfort: Explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and guidance before, during, and after their exams. Make sure they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
- Collaborate with Medical Team: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate imaging and timely diagnostic results that guide treatment decisions.
- Maintain Imaging Equipment: Operate, calibrate, and maintain nuclear medicine equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
- Track & Document Results: Accurately document patient information, procedures, and results while ensuring patient confidentiality and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Stay Current with Technology: Continuously update your skills and knowledge to stay ahead of advancements in nuclear medicine technologies and best practices.
What we’re looking for:
- Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or Accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
- Clinical experience is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
- Current, valid driver’s license
- Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) License in Texas
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification in Nuclear Medicine (N)
