Travel Physical Therapist (PT)

Required Qualifications- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy.
- Experience in physical therapy; new graduates may apply.
- Other certifications or licenses may be required.
The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, the therapist develops personalized evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. The position requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to high‑quality, safe patient care.
EssentialWork Functions
- Evaluate patients using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs.
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Implement treatment plans with techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, ensuring maintenance and calibration.
- Assess progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management.
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development.
- Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions to community or home settings.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication.
- English language reading, writing, and comprehension.
- PC skills and proficiency in standard applications.
Must be able to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
