Surgical Tech

A Surgical Technologist assists in the operating room by preparing sterile environments, handling surgical instruments, and supporting surgeons during procedures. They ensure patient safety, sterilize equipment, and document surgical details. Post-operation, they help transfer patients to recovery areas.

• Prepare the operating room with necessary tools and maintain sterility.
• Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Handle and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Monitor patient safety, assist in positioning, and ensure proper preparation.
• Sterilize and prepare surgical tools following infection control protocols.
• Document procedures accurately for medical records.
• Support patient recovery by transferring and monitoring post-surgery.

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Certifications via the National Board of Surgical Technology, National Center for Competency Testing, or military/public health programs are acceptable.
• Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and team-oriented.
