Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician. Assists the surgical team by handling equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe operating room environment and proper functioning of all necessary equipment.

Assists the surgical team by handling equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe operating room environment and proper functioning of all necessary equipment.
Qualifications- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program
- Preferred:
One year of experience as a Surgical Technician
- Surgical Technician Certification by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or by the National Center for Competency Testing or through a U.S. Military/Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program (only one required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, to be obtained within ninety days of employment
