Field Technician II (Overnight Travel Required)
This role is for a Field Technician in San Angelo, TX who will provide end‑user support on advanced commercial printers and related equipment. The position requires overnight travel from Sunday to Thursday and may involve overtime. A valid state driver’s license (Real ), clean MVR, and a reliable vehicle are mandatory.
Responsibilities- Upgrade advanced commercial printers at retail locations.
- Replace printer parts such as paper feed, power supply, print head, toner drum, transfer belt, and image unit.
- Perform complex upgrades and troubleshooting of printers, servers, hard drives, and monitor systems.
- Provide on‑site technical support to internal or external customers for complex or escalated technology issues.
- Install and remove equipment and systems as required.
- Operate applications and equipment, serving as the primary customer contact for technical and service issues.
- Ensure all schedules, transmissions, online systems, and problems are resolved accurately and timely.
- Act as a liaison between customers, departments, and the organization to lead problem resolution and change management processes.
- Determine the most cost‑effective repair or resolution to minimize customer downtime.
- Minimum 2–3+ years of field service experience, specifically with commercial printers.
- Extensive traveling via plane and/or car.
- Experience with large commercial printers;
Lexmark printer certification is a plus. - Strong electronics and mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases, and network security concepts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook.
- Experience with multi‑platform Windows OS.
- Familiarity with Rufus, Windows Server imaging, photo printing, and system connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently in a retail environment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
- Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders, leadership, partners, and customers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated capability to achieve results in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment.
Rate: $18.76 – $27.50 per hour (based on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications).
