Inventory Control Specialist

Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist is directly accountable for the accurate control of Refresco’s inventory. Techniques such as cycle counting and adjusting the inventory on a weekly basis will be aggressively pursued to eliminate production shortages and verify inventory at off‑site locations. This role also participates in all physical inventories and assists with goods receipt for the plant.

• Perform cycle counts before and after production runs, and per SAP schedule.
• Ensure accurate posting of daily production in SAP and timely closure of process orders. Reconcile finished goods production with inventory.
• Complete all paperwork and system entries for cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and monthly standard loss tracking.
• Maintain and organize filing of all inventory documents.
• Trend and monitor inventory accuracy and loss variances.
• Complete all reporting for co-pack customers.
• Track and manage aging inventory.
• Review corporate Hold Log weekly.
• Process destruction requests and coordinate disposal.
• Coordinate Year End Physical Inventory process and validate variance reconciliation.
• Adhere to month-end cutoff policy (SAP receipts, adjustments, transfers, holds).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Basic high school level math proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Customer service orientation.

• Organized record‑keeping.

• Associate’s degree in Administration, Computer Science, or Accounting preferred.
• Experience in Inventory Control (on‑the‑job training acceptable).
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Physical:
  Standing or walking continuously; lifting moderate weight.

  Requires moderate attention with one or two senses.
• Work environment:
  Repetitive tasks.
• Climate:
  Ability to work in hot/cold seasonal environments.
