Psychiatric Nurse

Travel Behavioral Health RN – Pediatrics & Adolescents

Patient Population:
Pediatrics & Adolescents (Ages 5–17)

We are seeking an experienced Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for pediatric and adolescent patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting. The RN will be responsible for managing behavioral health conditions, ensuring patient safety, and delivering therapeutic interventions.

• Deliver direct patient care to children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders
• Manage patients with conditions such as:
• Substance use and behavioral issues
• Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Administer medications including:
• Antipsychotics, antidepressants, mood stabilizers
• Monitor and respond to:
• Implement:
• Seclusion and restraint protocols
• Interpret lab results and monitor vitals (including blood glucose)

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years RN experience (Behavioral Health preferred)
• Travel experience required
• Experience Preferred:
  Community Hospital
• Epic charting system
• License:
  Active RN License (must be in hand at submission)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CPR
• Safe Program Certification
• ACLS & NIHSS (required at submission)

• Crisis intervention & de-escalation
• Managing assaultive behavior
• Psychiatric medication administration
• Seclusion and restraint protocols
• Substance abuse treatment
• Communication and patient education

* Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
