Seeking EMTB / EMTA / LPN or RN for Plasma Donation Center

NOTE: Salary is based on licensure and experience

• Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality.
• Educate donors about potential hazards and provide counseling regarding unacceptable test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability.
• Assist in employee training.
• Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.

• Certified/licensed in the state of employment as EMT‑Basic, EMT‑Advanced, Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Current CPR certification required.

• Work is performed both standing and sitting for up to 2‑4 hours per day.
• Position requires bending and twisting of the neck up 1‑2 hours per day.
• Frequent hand movement; ability to make fast, simple movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
• Ability to perform precise coordinated movements of fingers to grasp and manipulate objects.
• Frequent foot movement; may squat, crouch or sit on heels occasionally; occasionally walks, bends, and twists at waist.
• Light lifting of up to 15 lbs, with maximum lift of 50 lbs.
• Color perception/discrimination, near vision and far vision correctable to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly; interpret spoken words and sentences.
• Works independently and follows oral or written instructions.
• Performs a wide range of tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions.
• Relates sensitive information to diverse groups; work performed in a plasma center.
• Exposure to biological fluids with potential infectious organisms.
• Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment.
• Exposure to extreme cold below 32°F while operating plasma freezers; personal protective equipment required.
