Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional level of nursing duties for patients served in the clinical areas.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Preferred:
  Associate’s degree in Nursing
• Preferred:
  Two or more years of experience in Nursing
• Required:
  
  Graduate Vocational Nurse (GVN) Permit, with authorization to practice in the State of Texas – Graduates who do not present a permit to practice within sixty (60) days of graduation will be transferred to an applicable position, if available, with corresponding pay.
• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), with authorization to practice in the State of Texas – Must obtain license within six (6) months from temporary permit issuance date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date.
• Preferred:
  Certification in a Nursing Specialty Area, by an organization recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing
• Preferred:
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Preferred:
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
